I had the rare privileged of talking to the designer of the trolley before it was unveiled. George McGinnis, a long time Glendale resident and a former designer for Disney, showed me the drawings and told me about Rick Caruso’s exacting standards.
Every detail had to be the best and Mr. Caruso would not tolerate anything “fake”. He wanted real brass trimmings and fine wood details and the color had to be just so.
Originally the Trolley was just a cool feature of the Americana Experience, but now the Trolley takes you up and down Brand Blvd as well. The best part? It’s FREE!
