I am really digging this trend in Real Estate inventory in Northwest Glendale. 2 straight days of sold and in escrow listings, no new listings and no price reductions. Cool.

Well, today was the first full day of hands free cell phone usage in California. How did you do? I, personally, have tried a number of cyborg-esque devices (otherwise known as blue tooth headsets) and have not found one that works for me. Why can’t we find a retailer that will let you try these darn things on before you buy? Anyway, I wound up with an old fashioned wired earpiece.

Thank goodness I don’t get many cell phone calls.

Of course, it really is too late to wait for someone to ship you a device.  For you, I have a suggestion:

A little Disney fun for our Moving Day. Enjoy!

One of the very best parts of my job is meeting people that I would never encounter in a more mundane life.

For example, I got to sell the house of a an incredible woman who helped get AOL off the ground, studied at the Cordon Bleu in France, has a black belt in Tai Kwon Do and used to work in communist Russia. Awesome female James Bond, that woman.

Another extraordinary person is one of the top authorities on Thai massage, owns her own yoga and fitness studio, created an amazing community theater group and was a successful actress. Outstanding.

Oh! And then there is the woman who suffered deep personal tragedy and loss, is hearing impaired and still becomes a shining beacon of positive energy and is a nationally recognized comedian and motivational speaker! I could go on and on (and yes, many of my amazing clients are men - these are just the stories that floated to the top of my mind)

What brought up this topic? I just closed escrow on 1619 Ard Eevin (a round of cheers, please?) and had the most delightful meeting with the agent who represented the buyer. Most real estate agents were something else before being a Realtor, bu this gal’s story just takes the cake. She was a professional stunt woman and the only female stunt coordinator in the US. She’s fought with Jackie Chan, lept off of tall buildings, crashed every sort of vehicle there is to crash - dudes, she is just awesome! Plus, she is a very good Realtor.

Did you see the Diane Sawyer interview with Randy Pausch Thursday night? This man is amazing.  He is dying of cancer, and yet he chooses to live the moments he has left in joy and gratitude.  If you haven’t seen it, this is his Oprah moment reprising his last lecture.

As part of his last lecture he made a (to me) profound statement.  In life, do you choose to be Tigger or Eyore?

1007 Glenwood has been for sale forevah - but now it is bank owned and priced to sell. There’s a pool and guest house in back. If the house next to Hoover High just sold in the low 600’s, this is a steal!

521 Kenneth is smokin’ something funny. $1,350,000?! As I recall, there is a pool in the front courtyard and not a heck of a lot of backyard.

1441 Highland was bank owned and 841 Grange a short sale. I am not surprised they sold quickly at their respective prices.

1206 Kenilworth - the original list price dates back to July of ‘07. This is a tough location with the apartments and school kids walking by.

1332 Winchester is a good deal, y’all! True, the kitchen is small, but the lot is huge. Someone needs to buy this lovely today!

Inventory is holding firm at 61 single family homes on the market in Northwest Glendale. I’m not including the fancy homes on the hill, BTW. Just character homes built before 1955.
