Day 46- Dancing or Shakespear- Who Can Choose?

July 28, 2010 by Kendyl Leave a Comment

On Day 46 in 365 Things To Do In Glendale, Ca, there are not one, but TWO great options for outdoor entertainment. Both are FREE.

First up, the Verdugo Park concert series.

Summer Concert Series – R&B/Dance Performed by Chico

Time: 6.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m.
Location: North End of Verdugo Park
Description: Bring a picnic dinner, folding chairs or blankets for seating. Admission is free. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Please note that alcohol consumption and smoking are not permitted in the park.
For information call: (818) 548-4098

Perhaps R&B is a bit, well, (**ahem**) common for your intellectual tastes. For you, I present, Shakespeare in the Park!

Julius Caesar
Wednesday, July 28 7:00p
at Brand Park Doctors House, Glendale, CA

In one of the earliest of his Roman plays, Shakespeare explores the opposing dynamics of democracy and tyranny. Julius Caesar is a swift and enthralling political thriller where ambition and patriotism go head to head.

For audiences seeking quality, family entertainment, Shakespeare by the Sea’s free performances cannot be beat. Pack a picnic, gather loved ones, and settle in under the stars for a night of classic entertainment.
