Did you see this article in the Glendale News-Press today? La Crescenta resident Ted Baumgart is part of a Los Angeles area Solar Home Tour. Held this weekend, 5 of the homes are located within 10 miles of Glendale and well worth the trip.
According to the article,
Seven homes in Los Angeles County, including one in La Crescenta, will be on the tour, giving the public a glimpse of their energy-saving heating and cooling systems, natural interior day lighting, edible and drought-tolerant landscaping and recycled materials in new construction.
People showing their homes are members of the nonprofit group Valley Solar Amigos, which sponsors the event to educate and encourage homeowners to install alternate energy sources
