Today we have the priviledge to engage in one of the greatest civic rights in our civilization. We get to vote. We get to help shape our neighborhood, city and nation.
I am engaged in another civic privileged at the moment, jury duty. As one of my fellow jurists so eloquently stated, my country asks so little of me! To take a bit of time and attention to hear the plight of a fellow citizen and to help ensure that they do not lose their freedom or their very life unjustly- this is a very high privilege indeed.
However, once I leave, I will go to vote. Will you?
