Tax Credits for First Time Glendale Home Buyers!!

Whoo-eee, it is a rockin’ good time to be a first time buyer for Glendale homes, La Canada Homes, La Crescenta Homes or, really, anywhere in California!

Starting May, 2010, first time Glendale home buyers can qualify for a $10,000 state tax credit. Details and limitations are found here.
Here are the highlights:

1. Close escrow May 1, 2010 or later.
2. Be a first time home buyer
   1. You have not owned a principle residence in the previous three years
3. Or, buy a new home
   1. The building has NEVER been occupied
4. the $10,000 credit shall be applied in 3 equal parts over 3 successive years, beginning with the purchase year.

Here’s the AMAZING GIFT.  There a few very lucky people that might be eligible for BOTH the federal credit of $8,000 and the state credit of $10,000.  In order to do this, you need enter an escrow in the month of April (for the federal credit) and close as soon as possible in May.
