A New Zankou in Northwest Glendale

by Kendyl on December 15, 2008

Be still my beating heart and growling stomach… Zankou Chicken is coming to Northwest Glendale!

The folks at Sidewalk Cafe have tried a number of things to turn a profit… Coldstone Creamery (now gone) crepes, smoothies and kabobs.  Now they are adding a Zankou Mini Store within the main restaurant, set to open on Saturday.

Judging from the out-a-the-house lines over at Cafe Bravo at noon everyday, we can use another highly quality chicken place.  There are, however, lots of differences in the two restaurants.

Zankou specializes in spit roasted chickens as opposed to the kabobs at Cafe Bravo and this can either be a superior delectable taste treat or a dry, cardboard-esque disaster.  I’ve had both at Zankou.  I hope they have one (or two) of those uber cool Tarna roasting machines, because that is a product that Cafe Bravo does not have and I love it!

Cafe Bravo is still tops in my heart, but I am still totally excited by this new development.  Let’s all visit soon and give ‘em a little love.
