$18,000 in Tax Credits?!
I heard a small report yesterday, on NPR (click here to support KPCC in Pasadena), that the California tax credit of $10,000 for purchasing new construction homes is going extraordinarily well. Nearly 25% of the money has been claimed and they think the entire budget will be gone as early as mid-summer.
How can we get a piece of that pie?
After all, we don’t have new construction in our area, do we?
But, my little chitlins, we do. Yes, we do. I’ve listed some of the options in this post… but there are more than 50 units available in Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale and La Canada. Most are luxury condos and townhomes, but there are a few single family buildings as well.
If you have not owned a primary residence in the past 3 years, you qualify for the $8,000 credit off your federal taxes as well. You now have 18,000 compelling reasons to buy a home right now.
What Can I Buy?
BURBANK
630 N. Olive – Gorgeous, high ceilings, light filled spaces. This is a really well done building and they sold 30% of the units in the first 2 weeks. Prices are $395,000 for an 1168 sf unit to $469,000 for a 1350 sf unit
614 E. Tujunga- This is a smaller building and it’s claim to fame are the patios and decks. Listed from $519,000 to $589,000, these are much larger units, most are in the 1700-1900 sf range.
PASADENA
431 N. Los Robles – These very cool loft-style units are just north of the freeway, close to the Gold Line and the business district. Available units range from $499,000 for 1200 sf to $589,000 for nearly 1600 sf.
GLENDALE
507 Grove Pl. – This is a single family home! It’s new! It’s huge! It has a pool! Listed for $819,000 and featuring 3150 gorgeous square feet with 4 bed and 4 baths.
There are many more options available.
Obviously, I want you to call me if you want to take advantage of these deals. If you click on the property addresses, you’ll get pictures, maps and the ability to schedule a showing with me. What could be easier? Oh, just call me. That works, too! 818-482-1885
