Best Open House Guide in Town

Spring has certainly sprung in Glendale, La Cañada and La Crescenta! After weeks and weeks of anemic open homes we have a monster weekend ahead of us.  34 homes are open for your viewing pleasure this Sunday.  As always, I have provided a printable and downloadable list.  Now- here are my recommendations for your tour.  Do you want a completely elegant home on a large flat lot in La Cañada?  4533 La Granada is located ABOVE Foothill on a quiet, almost hidden, street.  It delivers tremendous amount of house and quality for the price.  If $1.6 million is not in your budget, how about this Glendale English Tudor with a pool for $899,000?  Located in the Verdugo Woodlands, this home is all about elegance and charm.  The really exciting house, for me, is this Glendale romantic, two story Spanish home.  I am excited by the location (near Oakmont Country Club), by the deep architectural detail, and by the fact that it hasn’t been ruined.  It also hasn’t been remodeled.  But, with nearly 3000 SF for only $725,000- there’s plenty of room to restore this Spanish beauty and still end up with a steal!
