I believe Fall has well and truly arrived- and the smell of change in the air is always good for the real estate market! There are some pretty tasty homes open this Sunday. As per my usual, let’s dish on the homes that need to be at the top of your tour list!
My top sight seeing home has got to be 1531 Idlewood. This Glendale Historic home carries the air of a Grande Dame of yesteryear with impressive proportions, amazing architectural detail on the staircase and a general sense that history has taken place in this home. There is lots of opportunity for a preservationist to really do some magic- check out the painted wall coverings in the Dining Room!
Perhaps you are looking for something a bit more “today”? Ok, this quiet 4 bedroom pool home is just the ticket. Located in the hills up the road from Glendale Community College, 1825 Kirkby Rd. looks like a huge value at $599,000. Check out the pictures (click the link) and then check out the open house.
If you want La Cañada schools your best bet, I think, is 5222 Stardust. This has been around for a little bit of time and I think that is just wrong. This La Cañada view home will now “entertain offers between $1,050,000 and $1,199,876″ (I did NOT make this number up). Some houses are ignored for no good reason what-so-ever. This is one of them and I think you should go see it.
