<p>Therefore it is a mix of sadness and curiosity that I report the Landmark Home at the entrance of Brand Park and Library is on the market as a short sale.  Short Sale is also known as &#8220;pre-foreclosure&#8221;.</p>
<p>The listing agent reports the home has &#8220;Deferred maintenance, leaking roof, balconies and windows, stucco damaged, chimney cracked, etc..&#8221; .  There is 5900 square feet of living space not including, presumably, the unfinished 1500 sf on the third level.  There is also a 3 car garage and a pool.  You can have all of this for $1,499,000.</p>
<p>The devastated homeowners are not willing to show the home- expecting that eager buyers will make offers sight, unseen.  While this might happen- it is a special home- will the offers be at a dollar value that a bank would approve?  I doubt it, but let&#8217;s hope I am wrong.</p>
<p>Below is the MLS information provided by the listing agent.  It is remarkably short on any details that would fetch a top dollar price.</p></blockquote>
